Your instinct will be to wipe away the extra oil, but we recommend that you allow the product to absorb for at least 2 hours, but it's best to leave overnight. Once absorbed your board is in optimum condition for use. You'll want to repeat these steps every 2-3 months or when you start to see the color fading on your board.
